The February meeting was held on 2/16/13. Kiley Auten presented a protection program called CrashPlan. This plan can back up any business or home system and holds up to 10G of information. There are several plans to meet several different levels of security. This starts as a full back up of the system, then is incremental from there.

Restoring your system is easy as well. You can restore at anytime. You can choose which files you want to restore or the full system. You can also restore to a new computer in case of theft or fire.

The business version complies to the HIPPA laws and all financial laws. There are limitations for backups and restoring, but basically they are the same as the home versions. It can be backed up at specified times or automatically every 15 minutes. Files and folders can be deleted or archived. USB drives are backed up first, then other computers.

The dashboard can be accessed from your computer or remotely. You can get information on each computer covered in the plan. You can request support from the dashboard. This has step by step instructions with screenshots and details on how to fix or set up.
